Bus services 8 and 9 leave Temple Meads station every 5 minutes. Take the bus to the Centre (outside Bristol Hippodrome Theatre) and walk up Colston Street (by Flavourz restaurant). As you walk up the hill, the Colston Hall (concert venue) will be on your left. Keep walking up the hill and you will come to a row of shops on the right side of the road. Bristol Violin Shop is very close to the end of these shops at the top of Colston Street, where it becomes Upper Maudlin Street. We are next-door to Colston Yard Bar. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank at the station.
Bristol Violin Shop is just a short walk from the bus station. Leave the bus station and walk down the road to the left and you will come to the White Hart pub. Turn right and walk up the hill past Bristol Eye Hospital. At the top of the road turn left onto Upper Maudlin Street. Walk up the hill keeping the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Children's Hospital on your right on the other side of the road. We are situated in a rank of shops on the left by the traffic lights next to Colston Yard Bar. Alternatively, there is a taxi rank at the station.
Leave the M4 at J19 and join the M32 into Bristol. The M32 becomes a dual carriageway and brings you into the centre of Bristol. When you reach the T-Junction at the end, turn right. Follow the dual carriageway to the next roundabout and take the second exit (signposted Clifton and University of Bristol). You will pass Bristol Bus & Coach Station on your left and a little later the Bristol Royal Infirmary on your right. Bristol Violin Shop is just past the hospital on the left side of the road by the traffic lights. About 200 yards further along the main road is a multi-storey car park (Trenchard Street Car Park).
Leave the M5 at J18 and follow signs for the A4 Portway to Bristol. The Portway follows the river Avon for about four miles and brings you into central Bristol. You will go under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and, a little later, past the SS Great Britain steamship on the river. You will then come to a roundabout. Take the first exit (signposted Clifton and Redland) and follow the road all the way to the top. When you reach the junction at the top take the right hand lane turning onto Queens Road. You will go past a Sainsbury’s Central supermarket on your left. Keep going straight along in the left hand lane. You will go past Bristol University buildings and Bristol City Museum. The road turns into Park Row and about 200 yards along you will come to Trenchard Street car park on your right. (Access is a little further along and down a steep road on the right.) Bristol Violin Shop is a few minutes walk further along Park Row, on the right hand side at the top of Colston Street/Upper Maudlin Street that bears down from the traffic lights.
